Bridge clamps (also called spiral clamps) are made so the clamp follows the spiral of the hose.

The special “bridge” welded into the clamp allows it to jump over the hard wire or cord in the hose – applying all the clamping force against the body of the hose.

At a little under 3/8″ wide, these clamps easily position on the hose, sealing it to the fitting better than wider ones available elsewhere.
